Despite the increase in vaccinations, there are still too many people who occasionally wear their masks, physically distance and get tested regularly. The film and television industry has developed protocols for its workers in an effort to ensure COVID -safe production environments.
Dominion Films, offers an online COVID Compliance Officer (CCO) certification course for the motion picture industry and is now developing one for businesses. The production company wants every business, including those that serve the public, to have at least one certified CCO to protect the safety and health of the workers and customers. This person can be a current employee or a dedicated CCO that is hired as an independent contractor, which would allow more independence in compliance enforcement.
While all cities and businesses do not mandate mask wearing and COVID protocols, the CCO can ensure that workers operate within the current guidelines and safety policies of the employer. Dominion Films plans to release the COVID Compliance Officer certification course for businesses in mid-August 2021. Those gaining certification will be issued a certificate for display.
